Project breakdown:

The original mesh has the correct measurements but is tesselated and quite rough, resulting in close-up camera angles showing visible pointy corners where round edges is desired.

This was solved in Blender by an overall triangles-to-quads-conversion, and a subdivision surface modifier, with manually placed creases where sharp corners/edges should remain sharp.

Custom rigging:

A handy way of controlling the drones movement is achieved by a combination of parent-child-relationships, empties/null-objects, drivers, copy rotation-constraints and custom properties.
